The legendary Don CeSar Beach Resort, a Loews Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Fla. features the world-class culinary creations of the renowned Executive Chef Eric Neri. The distinguished chef oversees three diverse dining outlets at the resort, including the Four-Diamond Maritana Grille, where his New American specialties range from Seared Ahi Tuna Tartare with Coconut Rice and Asian Ginger Glaze to Chilled Lobster and Smoked Salmon Timbale with Micro Sprouts.

Classically trained, Neri started his career at a small Italian restaurant in upstate New York then moved on to work for major hospitality companies including Arvida Corp., Registry Resorts, Club Corporations of America and Interstate Hotels. The gourmet guru has had the opportunity to work for Italian, German, French, and Hungarian chefs and has participated in national and international culinary competitions, earning 10 gold medals. He was named "Best Chef in Tampa Bay" in 1997 and has participated in numerous culinary events at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City. In January 2005, his Crab and Scallop Galette with Apex Greens, Truffle Vinaigrette & Remoulade won the gold award in the salad category of the esteemed APEX Food and Beverage Challenge.

Neri and the Don CeSar's Director of Food & Beverage, Martin Faurer, recently completed Chef Neri's first recipe book, which enables readers to recreate savory seafood cuisine and succulent desserts from the award-winning Maritana Grille. The book will hit stores in time for the holiday season.
